The table shows that in 2003 this inequality is generated with a 159% increase in the salaries of MPs. In the last 12 years the salary of Representatives grew 345% and currently reach more than 40 times the minimum wage.
This simple analysis supports reasonable and necessary this project, which come to restore some dignity and make parliamentarians will be more attuned to this time of austerity.
Some people argue that lower wages Parliamentarians increases the temptation of corruption, but this is another problem that is solved with other measures such as economic sanctions, and applying the collective self-control.
